Spread the Word’s Young People’s Laureate Tour 2017 featuring Young People’s Laureate for London Caleb Femi kicks off in October with the Poetry Takeaway visiting Newham (6th), Bexley (9th), Croydon (11th) and Merton (12th). The mobile ‘takeaway van’ will park in different locations, including schools and youth clubs as well as local libraries and young people will be able to take part in poetry activities and be inspired to participate in the Tour workshops and events at their local library.

The 2017 Tour, aims to celebrate the talent and creativity of young people in Outer London, giving them the opportunity to create and perform their own poetry and to take the lead in transforming their local libraries into creative hubs for other young people by running their own events and poetry collectives.
