Start-ups in London Libraries in Bexley is celebrating Start-Up day alongside the British Library!
On 11 October, we will be taking part in Start-Up Day – a national event led by the British Library’s Business and IP Centre to celebrate and reinforce the role of libraries as business hubs, providing resources to help users start and grow businesses.
London Borough of Bexley’s day of FREE events will be held in the Central Library in Bexleyheath.
09:30 – 10:45 Coffee morning – networking event
Its an opportunity to meet with like minded people, make connections with other entrepreneurs, meet the Start-Ups in London Libraries team, ask your questions.
11:00 – 11:45 Using your local library service to start and grow your business
Come along and find out how to use Bexley Library service to start and grow your business. You will learn about Start Ups in London Libraries and what Bexley Libraries is offering in partnership with the British Library, and discover the wide range of resources available and how to access them.
12:00 – 12:45 Introduction to COBRA the Complete Business Reference Advisor
An introduction to COBRA and how to use it effectively in order to find the business information you need. COBRA is an easy to use online resource with lots of information for people starting up a business, providing hundreds of small business guides as well as practical how-to factsheets. The COBRA guides cover everything from writing a business or marketing plan to highlighting relevant legislation.
13:00 – 17:00 Live stream British Library’s Knowledge Centre Theatre programme of events
We will be live streaming some of main talks that are taking place in the British Library Knowledge Centre on the day. Join us for inspiration, motivation and hot tips.
Attendees are welcome to stay for all workshops and talks during the day or come and go from the library.
