Bringing together all of London’s libraries for the first National Libraries Week, the Worlds of Possibilities festival showcased the wider cultural impact that libraries have by delivering a multi-disciplinary set of FREE artistic activities in public libraries beginning a tradition of a London Libraries Festival during National Libraries Week.
This project focussed around 4 showcase events that took place over four days (11-14 October) during National Libraries Week. The events covered music, art, dance, poetry, drama and involved performances from London’s Lead London Library Ambassador Jah Wobble, Viv Groskup, Jessica Hynes and others. The four headline events took place in Westminster, Tower Hamlets, Brent and Merton.
Renowned international musician, local boy and London Libraries Ambassador, John Wardle (Jah Wobble) brings his acclaimed band to Whitechapel Idea Store. The show comes hot on the heels of an acclaimed album called ‘Usual Suspects’ and a performance at Ronnie Scott’s.
